Invergarry front entrance1

Our Pride and Joy!

Built in 1885, the hotel is an imposing double fronted building on the ‘Road to the Isles’. Superbly located on the doorstep of all the main highland attractions, we aim to provide a welcoming and cosy retreat after your travels and adventures each day!

In the Heart of the Clan Seat of the Macdonnell's, Invergarry and the Hotel are steeped in Highland History and Tradition with historic tales of Clan Warfare, Culloden, Bonnie Price Charlie and Robbie Burns.

The Hotel prides itself in its support of upholding local traditions and history including helping the Glengarry Shinty Teams - so venture inside our home to find the full history and friendliness of the beautiful Glen.

The original Landlord of the Hotel, Jon Anderson was a friend of Robbie Burns and Robbie was a frequent visitor and even wrote his friend Jon a poem "My Jo". We plan to make the original building at the side of the hotel open to the public as soon as we can.

AMENITIES: We have two cosy guest lounges, with fireplaces, an extensive bar with comfortable eating areas, and a fine dining room will be opening in 2008, until then it is available as a fabulous large private dining room if you wish to book it.

Since purchasing the Hotel in October 2006, Nigel and Suzy in partnership with Suzy's parents, Gordon & Deborah, have set about imposing a warm welcome, cheery atmosphere and improvements to all areas of the Hotel for our guests and patrons.
We have huge car parking facilities.

The hotel is fully centrally heated, with coal and log fires in the bar and lounge during the colder months.

Many of the public rooms feature William Morris fabrics and wallpapers. Our comfortable lounges are the perfect places to relax, enjoy a pre dinner drink or just unwind in front of a log fire. You will find a wide selection of local information, magazines and books to enjoy.

A Traditional Highland Bar awaits the visitor with a good selection of Scottish Malts, Real Ales and Fine Wines.

Our highland malts selection is huge, sample a few of the more unusual ones whilst with us, along with superb food from our chefs. (See our Food Page!)

During the winter months our roaring fires will keep you warm over a hearty meal and well earned relaxing drink.

Invergarry is renowned for its friendly community and many a tale can be shared over the bar with our local guests.
